Lactation Overnight Oats Recipe

As a new mother, ensuring you have the energy and nutrients to support both your own well-being and your baby's growth is essential. Lactation overnight oats are a delicious and easy-to-prepare meal that can offer a host of benefits for breastfeeding mothers. This recipe will introduce you to a simple and nutritious lactation overnight oats method and explore the numerous advantages it provides for new mothers.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats, we recommend noncontaminated organic GF Oats
  • 1 cup heated oat milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 1/4 cup The Breastfeeding Tea Co Hot Chocolate mix
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Toppings of your choice (e.g., fresh berries, sliced banana, nuts, seeds, coconut flakes, peanut butter or chocolate)

Instructions:

Make a hot chocolate as per the instructions with hot oat milk and The Breastfeeding Tea Co Lactation Hot Chocolate.

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the rolled oats, oat milk, the prepared Breastfeeding Tea Co Hot Chocolate, chia seeds (if using), and vanilla extract until well combined.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a mason jar or any container with a lid.
  3. Cover the jar with the lid and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 6 hours, to allow the oats to absorb the liquid and soften.
  4. In the morning, give the oats a stir and add toppings of your choice (We used peanut butter).

Enjoy your delicious and nutritious breakfast!

These overnight oats will have a rich chocolatey flavour from The Breastfeeding Tea Co Hot Chocolate mix, and the chia seeds will add a nice texture and extra nutrition. Plus, you can customise the toppings to your liking and make it a complete and satisfying breakfast that also boosts your supply.

Why Lactation Overnight Oats?

    1. Convenience: As a new mum, time is precious, and convenience is key. Overnight oats can be prepared the night before, so you wake up to a ready-to-eat, nourishing breakfast, allowing you to start your day with ease.
    2. Nutrient-Rich Ingredients: The lactation overnight oats recipe incorporates nutrient-dense ingredients specifically chosen to promote lactation and overall well-being. These ingredients include noncontaminated organic oats, oat milk and brewer's yeast.
    3. Boosts Milk Supply: The primary benefit of lactation overnight oats is that they can help increase milk production. The combination of oats,  and brewer's yeast in the recipe is known for its lactogenic properties, helping stimulate milk supply.
